Hello HYS Families!
We hope you are enjoying a break from the hot weather. It’s hard to believe, but in a month, we’ll be back on the pitch! We have lots to tell you about this month, so let’s kick off the August Kicker!
UNIFORMS
We know that there have been several inquiries about the delays in uniforms. We share your frustrations, and the directors have put together a plan that will get numbers printed and uniforms delivered before the first game day. We appreciate your patience. Emails about uniforms for ALL programs were send out on Sunday. Please reach out to board@haverhillyouthsoccer.org if you have any questions.
TRAVEL SOCCERGame schedules for Travel should be released by September 1, and can be found at ecysa.org . Your coaches should be in touch with practice schedules soon if they have not already done so. We still have space available for most age groups and genders. Questions? Email travel@haverhillyouthsoccer.org .
DEVELOPMENT, IN-TOWN AND TOTRosters and schedules are being finalized for all three programs and we will be getting all of this information out to you soon. In the meantime, questions should be directed to the appropriate program director at either development@haverhillyouthsoccer.org or intown@haverhillyouthsoccer.org
HYS HELP WANTED - COOKOUT COORDINATORS(and helpers) needed!Development and in-town parents: help us plan a fall season kickoff cookout for HYS players and families!What a fun way to meet new soccer friends and celebrate the start of a new season.Interested: volunteer@haverhillyouthsoccer.org
HYS YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM ~ New program for Fall 2022 ~ ⚽️Open to youth in grades 6-12 who can gain leadership skills and earn volunteer hours. A HYS Youth Leadership Mentor should be able to demonstrate the following: ⭐️Leadership or willingness to lead ⭐️Good sportsmanship ⭐️Love for the game of soccer ⭐️Willing to commit to at least 4 hours of volunteering during the season ⭐️Youth mentors must be professional, demonstrate good sportsmanship and uphold the mission of Haverhill Youth Soccer.

FIELD PREPARATIONSFields Director Eddie Felker could use your help, and we promise that if you want to “get your steps in” we can help you do that. We need to repaint the fields at St. James for In-Town and Development. It’s not as difficult as you think, and we already have a head start with some lines from last season still visible. HYS NIGHT at MERRIMACK COLLEGEThe Merrimack College Men's Soccer team would like to invite the entire HYS community to their home opener at the North Andover campus on August 25th. Come check out NCAA D1 competition as the Warriors welcome the visiting UVM Catamounts. This experience is entirely FREE, and more details will be forthcoming.
As an HYS Parent you are entitled to a FREE membership with the Soccer Parenting Resource Center, where a LOT of free content is available to you. Once registered, please go to MY COURSES and please take the 15-minute, Sideline Project course. Your young athlete will thank you!
